4  And she said unto him: The servants of my husband have made it known unto me that thou art a prophet of a holy God, and that thou hast ^cpower to do many mighty works in his name;

  13  Ye which ^arejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

  19  And now, because of this great victory they were lifted up in the pride of their hearts; they did ^aboast in their own strength, saying that their fifty could stand against thousands of the Lamanites; and thus they did boast, and did delight in blood, and the shedding of the blood of their brethren, and this because of the wickedness of their king and priests.

  73  But a commandment I give unto them, that they shall not boast themselves of these things, neither speak them before the world; for these things are given unto you for your profit and for salvation.

  14  And the men took of their victuals, and asked not ^acounsel at the mouth of the Lord.

  10  Wherefore, brethren, seek not to ^acounsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works.

  37  ^aCounsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

  22  That ye may not be cursed with a sore cursing; and also, that ye may not incur the displeasure of a ^bjust God upon you, unto the destruction, yea, the eternal destruction of both soul and body.

  18  And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have ^aforsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.

  27  Where is ^aboasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

  7  And lest I should be ^aexalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
