16  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that ^adwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

  36  Then said the Jews, Behold how he ^aloved him!

  1  And Joseph fell upon his father's face, and ^bwept upon him, and kissed him.

  11  And the bodies of many thousands are laid low in the earth, while the bodies of many thousands are moldering in heaps upon the face of the earth; yea, and many thousands are ^bmourning for the loss of their kindred, because they have reason to fear, according to the promises of the Lord, that they are consigned to a state of endless wo.

  23  Now, they were ^asorry to take up arms against the Lamanites, because they did not delight in the shedding of blood; yea, and this was not all—they were sorry to be the means of sending so many of their brethren out of this world into an eternal world, unprepared to meet their God.

  19  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

  56  The sting of ^adeath is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
