2  But who may abide the day of his coming, and who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a ^brefiner's fire, and like fuller's soap.

  24  Behold, the great day of the Lord is at hand; and who can abide the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's soap; and he shall sit as a ^erefiner and purifier of silver, and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. Let us, therefore, as a church and a people, and as Latter-day Saints, offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness; and let us present in his holy temple, when it is finished, a book containing the records of our dead, which shall be worthy of all acceptation.

  10  Many shall be purified, and made white, and ^btried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

  35  And some of them of understanding shall fall, to ^atry them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

  22  And ye shall be my ^apeople, and I will be your God.

  23  And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my ^dpeople; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

  25  As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my ^bpeople; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
