1 Kings 15:5  
 5 Because aDavid did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and bturned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of cUriah the Hittite.

  4  And if thou wilt walk before me, as bDavid thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

  20  That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he bturn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

  3  And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of bUriah the Hittite?

  8  And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant aDavid, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;

  39  David's wives and concubines were given unto him of me, by the hand of Nathan, my servant, and others of the prophets who had the keys of this power; and in none of these things did he sin against me save in the case of eUriah and his wife; and, therefore he hath fallen from his exaltation, and received his portion; and he shall not inherit them out of the world, for I gave them unto another, saith the Lord.
