17  And then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, and he ashut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.

9  And at my command the heavens are opened and are ashut; and at my word the earth shall shake; and at my command the inhabitants thereof shall pass away, even so as by fire.

8  Q. What are we to understand by the four angels, spoken of in the 7th chapter and 1st verse of Revelation?

A. We are to understand that they are four angels sent forth from God, to whom is given power over the four parts of the earth, to save life and to destroy; these are they who have the everlasting gospel to commit to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people; having power to cshut up the heavens, to seal up unto life, or to cast down to the regions of darkness.

4  O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be destroyed by the sword; but O Lord, rather let there be a bfamine in the land, to stir them up in remembrance of the Lord their God, and perhaps they will repent and turn unto thee.
