18  And they all with one consent began to make ^aexcuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

  2  Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have ^bglory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

  29  He commandeth that there shall be no priestcrafts; for, behold, priestcrafts are that men preach and set themselves up for a light unto the world, that they may get gain and ^dpraise of the world; but they seek not the welfare of Zion.

  39  And let him repent of his sins, for he seeketh the ^apraise of the world.

  1  As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so ^ahonour is not seemly for a fool.
