16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  9  In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he ^eredeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
