6  For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  34  Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

  1  Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

  13  Behold the Lord ^aslayeth the wicked to bring forth his righteous purposes. It is better that one man should perish than that a nation should dwindle and perish in unbelief.

  10  For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are ^cswept off.

  32  Behold, this is the law I gave unto my servant Nephi, and thy fathers, Joseph, and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, and all mine ancient prophets and apostles.

  6  For have I not the fowls of heaven, and also the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the mountains? Have I not made the earth? Do I not hold the ^bdestinies of all the armies of the nations of the earth?

  12  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these ^babominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
