24  Therefore whosoever ^aheareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

  8  This book of the ^alaw shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

  4  And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my ^claw, which I have set before you,

  14  Yet the Lord God saw that his people were a stiffnecked people, and he appointed unto them a ^blaw, even the law of Moses.

  29  And now I say unto you that it was expedient that there should be a law given to the children of Israel, yea, even a very ^astrict law; for they were a stiffnecked people, quick to do iniquity, and slow to remember the Lord their God;

  15  Yea, and they did keep the law of Moses; for it was expedient that they should keep the law of Moses as yet, for it was not all fulfilled. But notwithstanding the law of Moses, they did look forward to the coming of Christ, considering that the law of Moses was a type of his coming, and believing that they must keep those ^coutward performances until the time that he should be revealed unto them.

  13  (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

  22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

  60  And he that ^adoeth according to these things shall be saved, and he that doeth them not shall be damned if he so continue.

  30  And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went ^bnot.

  37  And it shall come to pass, that he that sinneth and repenteth not shall be ^acast out of the church, and shall not receive again that which he has consecrated unto the poor and the needy of my church, or in other words, unto me—

  8  But the hypocrites shall be detected and shall be cut off, either in life or in death, even as I will; and wo unto them who are cut off from my church, for the same are overcome of the world.

  35  And the rebellious shall be ^bcut off out of the land of Zion, and shall be sent away, and shall not inherit the land.

  2  Let all the people of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and those who journey with them, be organized into companies, with a covenant and promise to ^bkeep all the commandments and statutes of the Lord our God.
