3  Listen to him who is the ^aadvocate with the Father, who is pleading your cause before him—

  18  For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to ^bsuccour them that are tempted.

  12  And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to ^csuccor his people according to their infirmities.

  2  Being forty days ^btempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

  25  And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in ^bman.
