29  And unto him that ^bsmiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

  46  And they were doing that which they felt was the duty which they owed to their God; for the Lord had said unto them, and also unto their fathers, that: Inasmuch as ye are not guilty of the ^cfirst offense, neither the second, ye shall not suffer yourselves to be slain by the hands of your enemies.

  6  Lest the ^aavenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

  12  It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will ^arequite me good for his cursing this day.

  11  And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine ^benemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

  13  Some were lifted up in pride, and others were exceedingly humble; some did return railing for railing, while others would receive railing and persecution and all manner of afflictions, and would not turn and ^crevile again, but were humble and penitent before God.

  39  But I say unto you, that ye shall not ^aresist evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also;

  34  Nevertheless, the people did harden their hearts, for they were led by many priests and false prophets to build up many churches, and to do all manner of iniquity. And they did ^bsmite upon the people of Jesus; but the people of Jesus did not smite again. And thus they did dwindle in unbelief and wickedness, from year to year, even until two hundred and thirty years had passed away.
