17  And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the ^eHoly Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.

  2  And I, Nephi, said unto them: Behold they were ^amanifest unto the prophet by the voice of the Spirit; for by the Spirit are all things made known unto the prophets, which shall come upon the children of men according to the flesh.

  32  And, behold, you are they who are ordained of me to ordain priests and teachers; to declare my gospel, ^baccording to the power of the Holy Ghost which is in you, and according to the callings and gifts of God unto men;

  10  Wherefore, lift up your voice and spare not, for the Lord God hath spoken; therefore prophesy, and it shall be given by the ^cpower of the Holy Ghost.

  16  And as ye shall lift up your voices by the ^aComforter, ye shall speak and prophesy as seemeth me good;

  3  And this is the ensample unto them, that they shall ^bspeak as they are moved upon by the Holy Ghost.

  8  Now this prophecy Adam spake, as he was moved upon by the ^aHoly Ghost, and a genealogy was kept of the children of God. And this was the book of the generations of Adam, saying: In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
