2 Nephi 9:28
28 O that cunning aplan of the evil one! O the bvainness, and the frailties, and the cfoolishness of men! When they are dlearned they think they are ewise, and they fhearken not unto the gcounsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their hwisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.

13  And thus we see how great the inequality of man is because of sin and transgression, and the power of the devil, which comes by the cunning cplans which he hath devised to ensnare the hearts of men.

12  For avain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

9  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the apride and stoutness of heart,

5  The afool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.

12  The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a bfool will swallow up himself.

17  Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows; for every one of them is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh efolly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

7  And it shall come to pass that there shall be a great work in the land, even among the Gentiles, for their bfolly and their abominations shall be made manifest in the eyes of all people.

15  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among dmen is abomination in the sight of God.

20  And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own flearning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor.

4  And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their alearning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance.

6  A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but aknowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

8  How do ye say, We are awise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

22  Professing themselves to be awise, they became fools,

22  Without acounsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

10  Wherefore, brethren, seek not to acounsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works.

12  And it may suffice if I only say they are preserved for a wise purpose, which purpose is known unto God; for he doth bcounsel in wisdom over all his works, and his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.

4  Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own bwisdom.

17  Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a bwise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.

5  By thy great awisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

9  And their wisdom shall be great, and their understanding reach to heaven; and before them the wisdom of the wise shall cperish, and the understanding of the prudent shall come to naught.
