18  But that ye must turn away this day from following the Lord? and it will be, seeing ye ^arebel to day against the Lord, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.

  16  And I did endeavor to preach unto this people, but my mouth was shut, and I was forbidden that I should preach unto them; for behold they had ^awilfully rebelled against their God; and the beloved disciples were taken away out of the land, because of their iniquity.

  18  Now the Amlicites knew not that they were fulfilling the words of God when they began to mark themselves in their foreheads; nevertheless they had come out in open ^arebellion against God; therefore it was expedient that the curse should fall upon them.
