Jacob 2:24  
 24 Behold, David and aSolomon truly had many bwives and concubines, which thing was cabominable before me, saith the Lord.

  26  Did not aSolomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

  17  Neither shall he multiply awives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

  13  And David took him more concubines and awives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

  39  aDavid's wives and concubines were given unto him of me, by the hand of Nathan, my servant, and others of the prophets who had the keys of this power; and in none of these things did he sin against me save in the case of Uriah and his wife; and, therefore he hath fallen from his exaltation, and received his portion; and he shall not inherit them out of the world, for I gave them unto another, saith the Lord.

  3  Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

  3  And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

  2  For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
