16  Ye shall know them by their ^bfruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

  8  And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that ^aoffereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

  9  Will I ^aaccept of an offering, saith the Lord, that is not made in my name?

  9  He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his ^bprayer shall be abomination.

  28  And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is ^fvain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites who do deny the faith.

  5  And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, ye shall offer it at your own ^bwill.

  29  But he that ^adoeth not anything until he is commanded, and receiveth a commandment with doubtful heart, and keepeth it with slothfulness, the same is damned.
