15  For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

  5  Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the ^bstubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

  24  Therefore, as the fire devoureth the ^bstubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, their root shall be rottenness, and their blossoms shall go up as dust; because they have cast away the law of the Lord of Hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

  6  And they shall be visited with thunderings, and lightnings, and earthquakes, and all manner of destructions, for the fire of the anger of the Lord shall be kindled against them, and they shall be as stubble, and the day that cometh shall consume them, saith the Lord of Hosts.

  11  Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is ^aproud, and abase him.

  25  The Lord will destroy the house of the ^aproud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

  15  And now we call the ^aproud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

  12  For the day of the Lord of Hosts soon cometh upon all nations, yea, upon every one; yea, upon the ^bproud and lofty, and upon every one who is lifted up, and he shall be brought low.

  11  And I will punish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will cause the arrogancy of the ^cproud to cease, and will lay down the haughtiness of the terrible.

  8  Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly ^bburned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

  23  And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also ^adestroy the righteous with the wicked?

  16  For the time soon cometh that the fulness of the wrath of God shall be poured out upon all the children of men; for he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous.
