5  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that ^bevery imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

  19  For out of the ^aheart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

  4  O how foolish, and how vain, and how evil, and devilish, and how quick to do iniquity, and how slow to do good, are the children of men; yea, how quick to hearken unto the words of the evil one, and to set their ^chearts upon the vain things of the world!

  2  ^aImagining up some vain thing in their hearts, that it was wrought by men and by the power of the devil, to lead away and deceive the hearts of the people; and thus did Satan get possession of the hearts of the people again, insomuch that he did blind their eyes and lead them away to believe that the doctrine of Christ was a foolish and a vain thing.
