Amos 6:13  
 13 Ye which arejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

  19  And now, because of this great victory they were lifted up in the pride of their hearts; they did aboast in their own strength, saying that their fifty could stand against thousands of the Lamanites; and thus they did boast, and did delight in blood, and the shedding of the blood of their brethren, and this because of the wickedness of their king and priests.

  4  For although a man may have many revelations, and have power to do many mighty works, yet if he cboasts in his own strength, and sets at naught the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will and carnal desires, he must fall and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.
