  22  And he caused that the priests should assemble themselves together; and they began to fast, and to pray to the Lord their God that he would open the mouth of Alma, that he might speak, and also that his limbs might receive their strength—that the eyes of the people might be opened to see and know of the goodness and glory of God.

  12  By the power of the Spirit our eyes were opened and our understandings were enlightened, so as to see and understand the things of God—

  11  And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;

  1  The veil was taken from our minds, and the eyes of our understanding were opened.

  32  Let him that is ignorant learn wisdom by humbling himself and calling upon the Lord his God, that his eeyes may be opened that he may see, and his ears opened that he may hear;

  11  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your aeyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

  10  And in that day Adam blessed God and was filled, and began to prophesy concerning all the families of the earth, saying: Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my deyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God.

  18  And because he had fallen from heaven, and had become miserable forever, he sought also the misery of all mankind. Wherefore, he said unto Eve, yea, even that old serpent, who is the devil, who is the father of all lies, wherefore he said: Partake of the forbidden fruit, and ye shall not die, but ye shall be as God, cknowing good and evil.

  3  For they are carnal and devilish, and the devil has power over them; yea, even that old serpent that did beguile our first parents, which was the cause of their fall; which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, eknowing evil from good, subjecting themselves to the devil.

  5  Yea, and I know that good and evil have come before all men; he that knoweth not good from evil is blameless; but he that bknoweth good and evil, to him it is given according to his desires, whether he desireth good or evil, life or death, joy or remorse of conscience.

  16  For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may cknow good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
