Malachi 4:1  
aFor, behold, the bday cometh, that shall cburn as an oven; and all the dproud, yea, and all that do ewickedly, shall be fstubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor gbranch.

  9  Thou shalt make them as a afiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

  11  I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the dburning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.

  23  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the afire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

  14  Behold, they shall be as astubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

  18  For awickedness burneth as the fire; it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forests, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

  11  And I will apunish the world for evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay down the haughtiness of the terrible.

  9  For the hour is nigh and the day soon at hand when the earth is ripe; and all the proud and they that do wickedly shall be as cstubble; and I will burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that wickedness shall not be upon the earth;

  23  Behold, now it is called today until the coming of the Son of Man, and verily it is a day of sacrifice, and a day for the tithing of my people; for he that is tithed shall not be eburned at his coming.

  24  And every corruptible thing, both of man, or of the beasts of the field, or of the fowls of the heavens, or of the fish of the sea, that dwells upon all the face of the earth, shall be bconsumed;

  64  And also that which was written by the prophet aMalachi: For, behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

  4  And Jesus left them, and went upon the Mount of Olives. And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be which thou hast said concerning the destruction of the temple, and the Jews; and what is the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world, or the destruction of the dwicked, which is the end of the world?

  36  After telling me these things, he commenced quoting the prophecies of the Old Testament. He first quoted part of the athird chapter of aMalachi; and he quoted also the fourth or last chapter of the same prophecy, though with a little variation from the way it reads in our Bibles. Instead of quoting the first verse as it reads in our books, he quoted it thus:
