Deuteronomy 9:1  
Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to apossess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and bfenced up to heaven,

  54  And ye shall divide the land by lot for an cinheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

  10  But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God giveth you to ainherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

  28  Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are awalled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
