24  And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and ^bmighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

  3  But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God.

  3  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things ^cpertaining to the kingdom of God:
