  23  He said, I am the avoice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

  66  Behold, that which you hear is as the voice of one crying in the wilderness—in the wilderness, because you cannot see him—my voice, because my voice is Spirit; my Spirit is truth; truth abideth and hath no end; and if it be in you it shall abound.

  8  Yea, even he should go forth and cry in the wilderness: aPrepare ye the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight; for there standeth one among you whom ye know not; and he is mightier than I, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. And much spake my father concerning this thing.

  26  And the lesser priesthood continued, which priesthood holdeth the key of the ministering of angels and the dpreparatory gospel;
