6  Now these were their journeyings: Having taken leave of their father, Mosiah, in the ^bfirst year of the judges; having refused the kingdom which their father was desirous to confer upon them, and also this was the minds of the people;

  1  Now it came to pass in the days when the ^ajudges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
