3  Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will ^ajudge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

  12  Now the sons of Eli were ^bsons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.

  12  And thus Laman and Lemuel, being the eldest, did murmur against their father. And they did ^bmurmur because they knew not the dealings of that God who had created them.

  8  Now the sons of Mosiah were numbered among the ^aunbelievers; and also one of the sons of Alma was numbered among them, he being called Alma, after his father; nevertheless, he became a very wicked and an idolatrous man. And he was a man of many words, and did speak much flattery to the people; therefore he led many of the people to do after the manner of his iniquities.

  16  And Adam and Eve, his wife, ceased not to call upon God. And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain, and said: I have gotten a man from the Lord; wherefore he may not reject his words. But behold, Cain ^bhearkened not, saying: Who is the Lord that I should know him?

  25  And again, inasmuch as parents have children in Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized, that ^cteach them not to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the living God, and of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of the hands, when eight years old, the sin be upon the heads of the parents.

  42  You have not ^ataught your children light and truth, according to the commandments; and that wicked one hath power, as yet, over you, and this is the cause of your affliction.
