8  And it shall come to pass that except they repent I will utterly ^adestroy them from off the face of the earth; yet they shall leave a record behind them, and I will preserve them for other nations which shall possess the land; yea, even this will I do that I may discover the abominations of this people to other nations. And many things did Abinadi prophesy against this people.

  11  Yea, and then shall they see wars and pestilences, yea, famines and bloodshed, even until the people of Nephi shall become extinct—

  6  Yea, heavy destruction awaiteth this people, and it surely cometh unto this people, and nothing can save this people save it be repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, who surely shall come into the world, and shall suffer many things and shall be slain for his people.

  15  And from the wicked their light is ^awithholden, and the high arm shall be broken.

  19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

  24  They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought ^blow; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
