1  I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will ^aslay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

  40  And I will bring an everlasting ^areproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

  16  All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they ^bhiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.

  17  Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to ^creproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

  14  And because they turn their hearts aside, saith the prophet, and have despised the Holy One of Israel, they shall wander in the flesh, and perish, and become a hiss and a ^cbyword, and be hated among all nations.
