27  For every man receiveth wages of him whom he listeth to obey, and this according to the words of the spirit of prophecy; therefore let it be according to the truth. And thus endeth the fifth year of the reign of the judges.

  42  And whosoever doeth this must receive his wages of him; therefore, for his wages he receiveth death, as to things pertaining unto righteousness, being dead unto all good works.

  45  For they love darkness rather than light, and their deeds are evil, and they receive their ^bwages of whom they list to obey.

  23  For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ^aruin of him, and of all Israel.

  8  He that diggeth a pit shall ^afall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

  32  But, O my people, beware lest there shall arise contentions among you, and ye ^blist to obey the evil spirit, which was spoken of by my father Mosiah.

  39  Yea, and I also exhort you, my brethren, that ye be watchful unto prayer continually, that ye may not be led away by the temptations of the devil, that he may not overpower you, that ye may not become his subjects at the last day; for behold, he rewardeth you ^dno good thing.
