Jacob 2:19  
 19 And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to ado good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted.

  26  And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should bimpart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants.

  42  aGive to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn thou not away.

  3  And they had aall things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift.

  41  And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have bhope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.

  22  And let the bishop search diligently to obtain an agent, and let him be a man who has got briches in store—a man of God, and of strong faith—
