26  And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may walk guiltless before God—I would that ye should ^bimpart of your substance to the poor, every man according to that which he hath, such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants.

  42  ^aGive to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn thou not away.

  3  And they had ^aall things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift.

  10  Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your ^cheart upon them.

  4  Labour not to be ^arich: cease from thine own wisdom.

  23  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a ^arich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

  8  And God is able to make all ^agrace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

  30  And thus, in their ^aprosperous circumstances, they did not send away any who were naked, or that were hungry, or that were athirst, or that were sick, or that had not been nourished; and they did not set their hearts upon riches; therefore they were liberal to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, whether out of the church or in the church, having no respect to persons as to those who stood in need.

  41  And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have ^bhope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.

  22  And let the bishop search diligently to obtain an agent, and let him be a man who has got ^briches in store—a man of God, and of strong faith—
