7  Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being ^ainnocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

  23  Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not ^bafflict.

  17  The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and ^adelivereth them out of all their troubles.

  19  For behold, the righteous shall not perish; for the time surely must come that all they who fight against Zion shall be cut off.

  11  But Alma said unto him: The Spirit constraineth me that I must not stretch forth mine hand; for behold the Lord receiveth them up unto himself, in glory; and he doth suffer that they may do this thing, or that the people may do this thing unto them, according to the hardness of their hearts, that the judgments which he shall exercise upon them in his wrath may be just; and the blood of the innocent shall stand as a witness against them, yea, and cry mightily against them at the last day.

  1  Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you whom I love, and whom I love I also chasten that their sins may be forgiven, for with the chastisement I prepare a way for their ^ddeliverance in all things out of temptation, and I have loved you—

  28  But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be ^btempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;
