14  And since man had fallen he could not ^bmerit anything of himself; but the sufferings and death of Christ atone for their sins, through faith and repentance, and so forth; and that he breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory; and Aaron did expound all these things unto the king.

  14  And thus we see that all mankind were ^afallen, and they were in the grasp of justice; yea, the justice of God, which consigned them forever to be cut off from his presence.

  30  And we know that justification through the ^bgrace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is just and true;

  27  Hath he commanded any that they should not partake of his salvation? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but he hath ^bgiven it free for all men; and he hath commanded his people that they should persuade all men to repentance.
