21  And the Lord sent an ^aangel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

  12  Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will ^apunish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

  25  That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

  36  Then the angel of the Lord went forth, and smote in the camp of the ^bAssyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

  26  And the Lord of Hosts shall ^astir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and as his rod was upon the sea so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
