7  For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his ^dvoice,

  3  The ^avoice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

  13  And I will also be your ^alight in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led.

  37  O ye workers of iniquity; ye that are puffed up in the vain things of the world, ye that have professed to have known the ways of righteousness nevertheless have gone astray, as sheep having no shepherd, notwithstanding a shepherd hath called after you and is still calling after you, but ye will not hearken unto his voice!

  3  Yea, a voice crying—^aPrepare ye the way of the Lord, prepare ye the supper of the Lamb, make ready for the Bridegroom.

  1  Verily I say unto you my friends, I speak unto you with my voice, even the voice of my Spirit, that I may show unto you my will concerning your brethren in the land of Zion, many of whom are truly humble and are seeking diligently to learn wisdom and to find truth.

  20  And again, what do we hear? Glad tidings from Cumorah! Moroni, an angel from heaven, declaring the fulfilment of the prophets—the book to be revealed. A voice of the Lord in the wilderness of Fayette, Seneca county, declaring the three witnesses to bear record of the book! The voice of Michael on the banks of the Susquehanna, detecting the devil when he appeared as an angel of light! The voice of Peter, James, and John in the wilderness between Harmony, Susquehanna county, and Colesville, Broome county, on the Susquehanna river, declaring themselves as possessing the keys of the kingdom, and of the dispensation of the fulness of times!

  15  Now the Lord had ^btold Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,

  3  For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The ^bvoice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
